Baltic Amber Effectiveness

You may have heard that baltic amber is for teething babies, or that it relieves pain in adults - but does it really??? Does Baltic Amber Jewelry even WORK?! Here's what others have to say on the topic:

"I purchased Elliot's necklace when he was about 4 months old and I put it on him, and haven't taken it off much since then. He very rarely drooled while teething, which I thought was pretty amazing because I worked in childcare for 12 years and have taken care of a lot of babies in my life and most drooled pretty badly while teething. We have never used Tylenol or any other medication for pain relief with Elliot and he just turned 2. We used Hyland's Teething Tablets (homeopathic) sometimes during the worst parts, but that was not often. He really didn't have the typical symptoms of teething, it didn't seem. He didn't lose his appetite through teething and was able to nurse and eat through it all. I think he may have gotten 1 or 2 very low grade fevers throughout the entire process of his teething for the first 2 years. (He has just the two year molars left to grow in) Just recently, we forgot to put his necklace on after his bath in the morning. He had been fighting a little cold, and he had a very miserable morning, and when we realized it wasn't on, we put it back on, and there was a noticeable difference in him. He calmed down and was a happier toddler for the rest of the day.
